FaceBook is nice to be able to keep in touch with family and friends in other countries. At least you can lock it down pretty well if you can be bothered working it all out.

For unknown reasons my MySpace problem disappeared completely on its own. Still can't figure it out. I didn't do anything to cause it or make it go away.

BTW, I've now read that the "Facebook oops" page (linked earlier) was the result of a hack job.

Here in the US it's more of a vehicle for people to update even the most casual of acquaintances with the trivial events of one's daily life. I think the picture-posting aspect of it is useful, but you could do that with a simple e-mail. Other than that, it's a complete waste of time.
