Jeff Ament's bass
« on: February 08, 2013, 08:53:37 AM »
I'm just curious about the jazz bass he's using in this video - it looks like an ESP headstock.
I read somewhere that he became a Mike Lull convert.
One thing I do know - he has cool hats.

Is that a hat? I thought Sponge Bob was playing Alien Monster on him!

I think that's pretty old footage, the GF and I watch "20" recently and I recall it as being from a show early on. He has a lot of basses - nothing wrong with that.
He does have a Lull signature Thunderbird which differs from Mike's stock one, here are several that I've seen at the shop............

I really like this one!

Here are two more.

And this was the first one he had done, he's a big guy the most notable differences are a larger body and a reverse headstock.

Here's a Hamer rebuilt as a Thunderbird.

It's a fretless ESP neck with a Warmoth body, put together by Mike Lull. They started working together before Pearl Jam.
