Title: Oasis Bass Strings - anybody ever try them?
Post by: ack1961 on December 24, 2010, 12:41:34 PM
Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone here has ever tried Oasis bass strings before.  I'm told that I have a set in my stocking.
I love Christmas - always lots of music-related goodies.

I haven't tried them. They're made (or marketed) by the Oasis Humidifier Company, which has been selling classical guitar strings for a while. I didn't know they had bass strings until you mentioned it. Sure enough, here they are: http://oasishumidifiers.com/bass_strings.html

Give us a review when you've had 'em a while.

The price is pretty nice with free shipping.  I may take the plunge on a 5 string set.  Did you get Nickle or Stainless?

I got the Stainless (medium gauge 45-105) - I think I'm going to put them on my L2000.  The stock SIT's are finally starting to get a bit flat.  I'll try to give the best review I can of the Oasis SS's.
