The Animal Planet show, "Must Love Cats" (which is a VERY good show BTW) has already profiled her shelter. She, unlike hoarders and negligent owners of large captive breeding populations, really cares for the animals. It takes a lot of damage to need that much love to try and fix it.

I'm aware of this woman and what she has done. The cat rescue that my wife belongs to has been talking about this woman for a while. Definately not a nut case, just someone with a big heart and a substantial bank account to back it up. I admire what she is doing, but neither my heart or bank account can put me anywhere near being in her league ;D.

You need some Serval cats. They're bigger than the coyotes, and don't cause the same allergic reactions that most housecats do. They also are extremely social and get along with domesticated dogs and children quite well. The only downside is that their lifespan in roughly 70-80% of a normal housecat.

We have three cats and a kitten that we're fostering right now. The kitten may get adopted today and I can tell you right now I know I'm goig to cry like a little girl when she goes out the door . I am really no good at this fostering thing. I just get way too attached.
