My all-time favorite. We watched this with our kids every year for at least 20 years.

And this duet is one I like a lot...great arrangement.

Something with a Hebridean twist... this lot have self-promoted themselves to a ridiculous level up in the north of Scotland...

The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I heard this at the chiropractor's office today and had to look it up.  He told me I needed a vacation, by the way.  This is Lisa Layne on vocals.  What a voice she has.

What a relief!

I'm not a country music listener and hadn't heard of her, but I listened to that and thought "her voice DRIPS country music." Even though it isn't a country song or done country style, that inflection rings out in every word.

So I looked her up, and sho'nuff, country music from her early years.

Yes, that's true.  I felt the same way.  I looked her up yesterday, though.  She is from Texas.  She was better known there and in New Orleans where she moved to for a while.  I think later she moved to Nashville.  Someone wrote on one of the comments beneath one of her songs that he was in New Orleans once at an open mic night.  She came up and asked to sing that song.  The guy asked her what key and she said the key of the record.  He asked if she was sure because that was a rather high key.  She said I'm the one who sang it for Vince.  Of course it came out just right.  At some point, Lisa Layne was involved in doing Patsy Cline songs, but I don't know the details of that at all and haven't heard any of those songs she did.

Love the Bob & Doug clip.  Hadn't heard it in a few years, and it's pure hoser.

Beauty!

I didn't know whether to post this here or in the Gibson bass section.  But Rick Danko is already well represented there.  Plus, it's almost Christmas.
