italia bass
« on: September 15, 2010, 02:12:00 PM »
this company makes some interesting looking no quite knockoffs of ampegs, and 4005 ric etc.  anybody from the other side of the pond get to play one of these?

i always looked the 4005 look....and an ampeg that is not so valuable and more functional  than my AEB and AUB and Johnson would be cool too

The engineer at our last recording session had an Italia endorsement and he had a bass amongst several guitars. It might have been the Maranello model. I only played it unplugged for a short time, but let's just say I didn't immediately fall in love with it. Seems to be plenty of US sellers on ebay.com, so would be worth looking for a shop where you can try one.
