and, yes, the Eagles have never been shy to doctor their Live albums in the studio for release, especially the vocals.

Absolutely. The Hell Freezes Over DVD is doctored to death.
A studio engineer of a studio we once recorded in showed me how Don Henley's vocal has zero bleed from the drums, by disconnecting a few speakers from the 5.1 Dolby system.
It was really funny to see Don basing aways on the drums without hearing anything. Yet his voice was crystal clear. In a real live recording that would have been impossible.

I think they started out as a Southern Rock band.

But the influences of some British artists are seeping through.
They even do a Frankie Miller cover

They will not change the musical landscape. But I'm just happy to discover a band now and then that makes organic old fashioned rockmusic ;-)

I like McBride better than Morse.

Is little Ian okay? Looks a bit stiff in the vid. Barely touching the skins of the drums

The best Thin Lizzy album were middle albums (as far as I'm concerned).
Done over a period of just two years.

Jaibreak (1976)
Johnny The Fox (1976)
Bad Reputation (1977)
Live and Dangerous (1978)

I'm trying hard to think of a band whose later albums stand out. Can't think of any.  ;D

Somehow they all seem to have used all their gunpowder on the first few. And for the rest of their careers fans want to hear those songs. No matter how much effort they put into new albums.

Here's the inevitable video demo ;-)

I injured my left hand a few weeks ago, so my playing is a bit sloppy. I just don't have enough strength in my fingers yet.
But the video does give a good enough idea how the FV-12 sounds. ;-)

The German magazine Gitarre&Bass wrote a nice review about the Brooks EB-PL Noir that I built almost seven years ago.

The PDF of the two pages can be downloaded here:
