It's just stunning! My favorite combo is two pickups with the pickguard. It's just all kinds of shiny and mean! :o

I like it with the guard - it's very 1950's Formica-ish, which is a nice nostalgic touch.

They reissued the boomerang pattern Formica in the mid 80s, that's exactly what was the inspiration for a table I did back then.  My aunt used to have the stuff on her kitchen table.
