True. That's what I've been building for the last 6 weeks
So far,so good. Everyday I'm amazed at how little I know, but I have a great mentor.

Thank you, guys. I am learning and this is my first build. Everything I do with this archtop I observe at least twice (sometimes more) then I get a good dressing down by Ed Schaefer, a roadmap of what to watch out for, all the "getchas" awaiting me at every step. Then he gives me enough rope to aaaalmoost hang myself.  If needed, he comes in and rescues, not me, but the guitar!! I can't speak highly enough of him as a person and a teacher.
More to come!

Nice work! Looking great so far.

My only gripe: it's not a bass!

Ha! I would agree except I am enjoying it so much..
Never fear, I have some ideas for basses in the near future. All in good time!!

Just kidding!

As a full time builder myself I have to say that, judging by the pictures, you're doing an excellent job so far!
Congrats! No doubt it's going to be a classy guitar.

Label in place. Ready to button her up.
Just a "few" clamps
As much as it pains me to show this to all of you...
Will need larger size binding than intended...

You can bet I am better w/ a band saw now than 6 weeks ago. Just couldn't afford another expensive maple plank.

That's just a "feature"   ;D

That is absolutely beautiful.  I like your logo/branding too - has a nice ring to it.

Look forward to its evolution!
