Reminds me of a certain Lakland model!  Hey Al, I could see you doing the surf thing with this baby!

It's kind of neat in a rather repellent too-many-pickups way.  But definitely a nice period piece.  Absolutely would fit visually as a surf bass!

Reminds me of the Shergold 8-string that was on the 'bay for a while.

We've discussed this before, Hayman preceded Shergold and IIRC the ownership of the companies was somehow connected.

When I think of the Hayman 40/40, I think of Mike Lutz of Brownsville Station.

Yes, and if you buy this one, you'll have to wear an outfit like Mike's.

Where else but the LBO are you likely to hear a statement like that?  ;)

Well, it's not like he went on to anything else.  ;)  But seriously, I never paid attention to Ted Nugent so I really can't comment on that body of work.

Ain't that the truth!  To be sure, I'd never seen them perform, so the video was entertaining.  Interesting fashion statements, too!   :P

Ditto first thing I thought of!

Wow, they sound damn good! Good energy too. The nearsighted referee look never caught on, but oh well!
