Woah! You gotta admire their guts. The Rickenpolice must be already after them with wailing sirens and screechin' tires  :)

Not a bad idea to put a mudbucker in a Rick... ;)

That is wrong in so many levels.

It's innovative. Has any one else tried a mudbucker in the bridge position on a Rick?

That is wrong in so many levels.

Especially the part that says: "Made in USA"

The site is an ebay knock-off selling all kinds of "replica" products.

I'm sorry ilan, I have a mate who bought a Les Paul from these guys, he is a full time musician who knows wheat from chaff. He was really quite impressed with the guitar that arrived here even though it does have the obvious differences. I went and had a look at the DH Gate site because thats where he bought it from. As soon as I saw the Ric I thought of you and couldn't help myself  ;)    I had to post it here, especially here due to the Muddy in it. I apologise for being so childish, but knowing you are a good sport I still had a bit of a giggle. ;D

I wonder if those instruments would ever get through customs...

They did here Rob, although my Melody Maker from the USA was stopped and questioned

Amazing that they got through anywhere. It's one thing to make a Rick copy, quite another to counterfeit. Even though anyone knowledgeable about Ricks would recognize it as counterfeit, the general public would not. This would be criminal fraud under US law.

Those might be subject to "special handling"  ;D

It is a nice looking bass, though.  Hey it's the reverse-Cliff-Burton model!   (sorta... well not really...)

I would think with some plastic surgery it could be a nice platform for a better ride.  Hard to get a good Rick copy anymore, as we all know.  But I recall a bunch of the shoddier Ibanez/Aria knock offs having fake mudbuckers in them.

This is still my favorite:

Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Finally a "Ric" (Lickenbackel"?) with a sensible bridge, nuff said.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

now thats plain weird.wouldnt the pickups be better with the mudbucker in the front and a ricky like pickup in the back?
Louder bass!.
