I had a 60s EB-1 case and it looked more conventional than that, although I suppose it could have been something they did at some point for one of those.  Oddball for sure.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Looks like a case for a Les Paul GUITAR to me.
A friend of mine has a Les Paul guitar with the exact same case.
