Thomann are offering the SG at £650 and Thunderbirds (with the EB pickups) for £875, which for Europe/UK pricing, is great pricing. The same Thunderbird was around double that over here last year.
I played one of the 'birds in New York last year, but to be honest, while I couldn't actually hear whether the coil switches actually did anything at all, it's sounded OK though wherever the switches were set.
If only Gibson would take their thumb out their ass and offer some different colours (red, blue, green), I'd have been over the Thunderbird like a tramp on chips.
