« on: December 15, 2010, 11:35:13 AM »
Well, one can only assume...   ;D

This tank is in an old Space Echo that I just received.  Figure I should be able to keep 1 out of 3 running at any given time  :P.... maybe

Ever find any fun 'Easter eggs' while working on gear?

When I bought my first drum machine - 1985? - it was an E-mu Drumulator. Anyway... you could open it up and change the chips (e-proms?) to install different sounds. On the printed circuit board I noticed this printed on it - "E-mu - never a beat off"  :D

Yeah, "built by ugly crones..." just doesn't have the same ring to it.

I bet the burly biker guy on the assembly line took a lot of crap from his buddies re: the beautiful girls reference   :D

 ;D

That reminded me- I found these in a keyboard I was repairing a few months ago (early 80s Sequential Circuits).  A few references to Tibet and Buddhism, etched and screened on the mainboard:

Yeah, I recall having one of those "Made by Beautiful Girls in XXX" on something years back.

A totally tangential reference but this reminded me of one that appeared on London roads on the side of trucks, but disappeared quite quickly - complaints, probably...

CHEVRON - JAM MAKERS SINCE 198X

(they were the company that laid out the traffic cones on the motorway/highway at the time)

I remember seeing a USAF pilot at an RAF base that had a bumper sticker that stated CLINTON HAPPENS during his tenure at the Whitehouse...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Since we don't discuss politics here, you must be talking about George Clinton, President of P-Funk.

Well known P-Funk fans the old USAF fly boys; common knowledge over here...

Don't know much about US politics - is there some other reference I may not be aware of...? (running for the air-raid shelter) ;)

She's a talented mechanic, reverbing all the right things I'm sure.

Well, that is one way of blowing a fledgling discussion. However, I'm sure ole Bill would appreciate having this particular episode, a mere spoonfeeding of his Presidential magnitude, how shall I say it ... elevated to a political subject?

One might be inclined to say that she was one classy humidor, except that there wasn't much classy about her.

Not classy, but she could tell the ring size of his cigar without measuring.
