We now have a new definition for the "love that shall not be spoken". Where do these people come from? And why does anyone care?
-
Well, as the video on that link shows, it makes as successful a 'copter as it did a cat in it's previous life...

Holland.
To be fair, seriously disturbed "artists" are everywhere.
His life has been threatened by animal rights extremists. I found the kittycopter disturbing but I support his right to do something goofy with his already-taxidermied cat.
-
Yeah, the flying dead pet concept always struck me as sorta creepy ???
I suggested to my wife that when the time comes, in lieu of burial or cremation, she could have me stuffed and transformed into dad-o-copter! Strap a Thunderbird to me and terrorize the neighborhood... :) She's not into it, though. Ah well..
-
I've had bosses I'd like to do that to!!!!

Bill I'm surprised! LOL I can think of a few myself.
-
You wouldn't want your stuffed former bosses hovering over the neighborhood, would you? Maybe just displaying them in a trophy case would be safer.
-
Holland.
Yes, everybody in Holland has such a cat-helicopter. Mostly with a camera mounted, so we can check our tulips.

Also useful for checking on your dikes and watching for marauding German tribes.

You know, I'm sure there are way too many cameras pointing at leaking dikes.
-
;D

If the Germans dare to come again, we'll just break the mahogany necks of theur Gibsons. That'll teach 'm!!

They'll have to re-print...

Orville the “Helicator” has a number of vids on YT, I’m real conflicted about this, I think because I just can’t ever imagine stuffing one of my pets, I mean did the guy run up to his poor run-over Cat & see him flattened out like that & think “My how Aerodynamic!” at least he didn’t arm Orville w/ rockets I hope DARPA doesn’t see this they’ll have all kinds of dead pets lined up for wind tunnel testing at Langley
-
As a cat owner and animal lover, I tend to find this pretty disrespectful.

Yeah, if he loved his pet, he's really not honoring its memory in any way I would consider normal.
-
Is setting fire to your deceased cat normal?

Nah. They've got poor people for that.

I remember seeing Roy and Dale talking about this on Carson, must have been late 70s. Dale said she was thinking of having Roy stuffed too.
That museum closed a couple of years ago. Trigger, Bullet and the rest of the contents were all auctioned off.

Ah, a still flyable Consolidated CATalina. A rare find.
It's nice if cats are put to something useful, don't we all agree?

We have new neighbors with a cat named "Liselotte", the (in recent decades not very prevalent) name of my late mother. Chris might have had the reincarnation of JAE as a feline companion, but with me mom has now moved back in!

How could I not have seen the connection...

I just didn't have the 17k to hand to become a partner...
I recently watched this beastie doing circuits round Duxford one afternoon, purely by chance; a considerably better flyer...

Hey, what a cool way to fool terrorists....build a drone into a dead moose.....
"What's that up there?"
"Nuthin. Just another moose."
Maybe they'd have to be pretty dumb terrorists.
