In case anyone's interested, TNT is showing "A Christmas Story" tonight at 7 PM and again at 9 PM (CST).

Maybe it's a generational thing, but I'd rather watch Better Off Dead.

Better Off Dead was a Christmas movie?  ??? Somehow I missed that.

I don't think A Christmas Story is a generational thing. It's set in my parents' generation, and my kids (in your generation) loved it.

All personal taste, of course.

Personally, I think that may be the best Christmas movie ever.

Both of those are hilarious.  Better off dead was set around Christmas, so there are a lot of references to it.

It was a classic from the get-go.  Great story of growing up in the Midwest.  We've actually done the Chinese restaurant thing on Christmas because of the movie.
This has been Christmas movie week for us - Muppets Christmas Carol and Elf, so far.  My favorite is still the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol.

They don't show it anymore, but I used to love the Mr Magoo Christmas Carol.

My favorite is White Christmas, but my wife's is A Christmas Story.  We'll watch both this season.
