Squier Antigua P-bass ($418), Bass VI ($454), Strat and Tele Custom available for preorder at European retailers.

Yeah, it's pukeburst, it looks like your granny's cooker or fridge, but it grows on me.

To me personally, '68-70 EB-0/3 have the sweetest necks ever...obviously, YMMV.

My '70 slothead EB-0L's neck perfectly fits this description.

Delusional parasitosis is the clinial term.

In Arabic the informal term for withdrawal syndrome is "duda" — literally, worms.

Maurice was a good bass player with a fine taste in basses. He's on most of their hits. His brothers didn't play in the studio as far as I know.

I actually like the blue sparkle better, the purple one is a bit "pimpy".

The blue sparkle is rad.

That means classic Gold Tops will return en masse because anything Elon touches turns to ...

I think this finish is more appropriate

It's a feather-weight short scale, just a reminder.

Just bought this yesterday from a friend who got it off eBay two months ago, but now has a better use for the money towards a vintage Fender Rhoads. So, meet my new c.1966-68 Yamaha SB-5A "Samurai bass" in pearl white.

Aaaa, the joys of playing with (tone) deaf people ..
I used to play in a swing big band and the leader had a sick level of perfect pitch. He would hear everything, and unlike most conductors who listen only to the violins and brass, this guy hears the bass. It can be a hard. There were times when I was like, how the hell did you hear THAT?

Going back for a moment to the Gibson carver guy, sometimes I like these lovely plastic-y kitsch creations better:

So I've been toying with the Configurator app on their website and came up with this. Now I have GAS. Total should be €2,100, not cheap but not Alembic pricing, and I've never ordered a custom bass, it's always vintage stuff with me. The jury is still out.

The wide space control version of the EB-3

Why did they do that? The 6-string SG never had it.

Man that mini-humbuckered LP Deluxe sounds good. The Ric sounds like it has flats.
