Guild Starfire III
« on: June 19, 2008, 04:28:44 AM »
I snagged this off eBay a couple months ago, put it on a shelf and kinda forgot about it with all of the other stuff I've got going.  It's a true HB, no sound block.  I'll probably go with DS or TV Jones pups.  Lots of time to think about it.  I probably won't be able to touch this until winter.  We'll see!

It's got a really nice flame to it.  This might end up being that all natural HB I've always wanted!

Wow , I like this one
I wonder if the bridge post will be in the right place

I think it will be very similar to the Gibson 400 bass that Uwe has

If you ever decide to sell it , give me a crack at it

Thanks

Yeah, it's a lot like a Gibson EB-650 too.  It doesn't have a wood block inside to drill for bridge posts, so I'll use a floater on it.  Sell it?  Probably not, at least not yet!  If it turns out really nice, I always end up keeping them!

Sure thing!  I have pretty much decided it will have a light amber tint to make it look like an aged natural finish.  I'm looking forward to this one too, but it has to wait for the others to get done first.
