I just hit this beauty on evilbay ...

Bruce Johnson says I's done good -
That's great that you bought #28! You got a bargain too, at US$2999. Several years ago, it would have sold for about $4000.
I currently know of the existence of 10 of the approximately 54 prototypes. Yours, #28, is one of the three that are in all-original, excellent condition.
Now, to go and sell some stuff, to offset the cost of this one! [smilie=fun_84.gif]

Finish on it looks great (and still intact!). Love to hear your impressions of the mystery pickup sound once you get acquainted.

Looks fantastic!

Really nice shape, hope it plays as good as it looks.

It plays great. When it arrived the action was a bit buzzy (probably due to climate change en route to the southern winter), and all it took me was half a turn on each of the two bridge screws and the action is now perfect. Sound wise, it is very much as demonstrated by Bruce Johnson's audio sample on his website - totally unusable with the tone control opened up (nasal honk), but with the tone rolled off it is lovely, warm and fat.

WOW!!
