Hamer 8 string on the bay
« on: January 10, 2009, 03:03:26 PM »
I have wanted a 8 or 12 forever this looks like it's going cheap. It has been messed with but I think I can make it look better. If I bid opinions on how high I should go ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170291634316&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=007

"...& THE POINTS ON THE
HEADSTOCK HAD BEEN CUT OFF(!!!) TO FIT THE BASS INTO ITS CASE....ALSO, THE LOWER CUTAWAY
HAS BEEN GREATLY INCREASED...."

Jigsaws don't maim basses - people maim basses.... :P

I guess maybe there should be a license program started to allow people to buy power tools.  I know for a fact that I would Ginsu any bass that would't fit in my $15 gigbag ;)

Hope you won it - it'll make a worthy project

I dunno... that's a lot to pay for a butchered import model.

I thought it was USA made also. For future reference, how can you tell for sure between import/American?

The "USA" on the headstock.  ;D Either that, or the later US models have a little 'R' in a circle after the logo on the headstock.

Ok, that makes sense. I never knew that they made an 8 string import in that body style (that is, before it was tortured).
