When it was all the rage in the eighties, I thought it stupid to exchange chrome for black hardware, now it's the other way around and I still don't feel any inclination to turn black into chrome. What I generally try to prevent is a mix of the two (hence I stayed with chrome on "Bluebell") and I often do have an issue with gold hardware and feel inclined to change it (though in the end I never do). I think the modern day TB Plus pups would look better if they were really pitch black as opposed to the drab greyish look they have.
