Now HERE's a bass tuning system I've not seen before....look close, the machines are in those four circular holes!

Interesting.  No more bumping the tuners and bending them....

I watched his YT video, not really impressed with the sound. OTOH it certainly is compact and he put some thought into it.

Seems like it would be a whole lot easier to just put some kind of Steinberger bridge on there.

John Carruthers had quite a bit to do with the body design.

Seems like it would be a whole lot easier to just put some kind of Steinberger bridge on there.

I think that would add to the length and increase the cost.

Would someone please explain the need for a "travel bass"? They always look ridiculous, and the ones discussed are good examples. If I needed a bass that can be stowed in airline overhead compartments I'd just take a bolt-on bass and detach the neck.

When your friends are sitting around the campfire annoying you with their travel guitars, you plug in your travel bass and drown them all out. Better yet, maybe someone can come up with a travel folding horn cabinet that folds flat.
