Here we have the Ebay auction.

Here is the same bass a few months ago........

In just 2 months the bass has gone from a fairly rare refinished '67 Maple Cap Jazz with no serial number plate, to an original NAMM (or NAAM as the clueless seller states) that even the great Getty  Lee would want!  He doesn't mention the refret or 80's pickups or lack of original F plate with serial number.  The black replacement guard is all of a sudden a tort with the "original" gold sparkle thumb rest.....

What a tool.  >:(

Bet that rare Fender maple capped "swamp ash" body is a genuine Warmoth.

"..when was the last time you saw an original Maple Cap neck on a 60's Jazz Bass?). "

I am assuming this means a Maple fretboard opposed to the one piece maple fender necks?  The answer to his question would be   .....um never

There was an even rarer '65 Jazz with the maple cap neck and black dots that went for nearly 6k last year.  I almost did a trade with the original seller of the Jazz back in February but changed my mind.  Just too many unknowns about the bass.  I doubt he'll get anywhere near what he's asking for it.
