I'll play ...... classic T-Birds with (IMO) their best lineup ever:

"I think it's only proper that I play until the last note of a set, then fall over and die. The band won't have to play an encore and they'll still get paid for the gig" (Dr. John)

Here's another great one ...... Albert Collins (with Johnny B. Gayden on bass!!!) at Buddy Guy's "Legends" in Chicago ....... dig on the Iceman, y'all:

They were very young when they released their first album in 1994. I think the average age was 17 or so.
Definitely the most exciting Blues band I've ever seen.

They disbanded in 1999. But they do get together once in a while to do some gigs for fun.

They used to do a crazy double guitar solo /act

No "white blues" topic is complete without the late great Bloomers ......

And this is Johnny Winter at his best IMO

Rob - The Hoax were a very cool band. I met and did a bit of jamming with John Amor a few years back ..... man, what a player! He's still very active in England, you can find him on FB if you want to keep up with his antics.

Yeah I know, I'm a big admirer of Jon.
Saw him live couple of times.
Still think it is a big shame his first album didn't get the recognition it deserves. It is brilliant.  The use of samples an drumloops obviously was way too advanced for the ultra conservative Blues audience.

That's why I play Rockabilly, baby ...... anything goes!

Totally agree on Jon's first album .... lukewarm reception at best, too bad really. I hear though that The Hoax have been doing some "reunion" shows in the UK over the last year or so. Hopefully they'll make it across the pond someday soon!

On a Hoax related note; here's Scott Mc Keon.
His debute album was produced by Hoax guitarist Jesse Davey.

That Hoax double guitar solo is wild. I can't imagine playing with someone else and swapping the right or left hand.

Love the Rory Gallagher. Here's one from when he was with Taste.
