I feel beaten by that article!

Maybe there are good excuses why she doesn't know her shite. But there is no excuse for Gibson putting up something like that on their official site.

Poorly compiled, researched and does not entice any one to be interested.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the impression they rely on freelancers who may or may not have impressive credentials.  I will say, though, that in such cases it would be hard to be an expert on everything.  In this case, that's obvious.

Yeesh, is Gibson a blogger site now? And the replies aren't much better than the article -

"I know Jack Bruce played Warwick basses who make a "signature" bass with his name; I didn't know he also played Gibson. He's shown with a Warwick fretless bass in the photo in Rock Cellar Magazine. (Gibson isn't mentioned.) Are you sure he played an EB-3?"

After they've messed up my order so many times, I'm hoping Silver Rails will really arrive today like they say it will.  So many twists and turns with this order.  I was only trying to order a Jack Bruce CD; I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition.

He goes on to say:
"I grew up with Cream and then followed his solo career for a while in the early 70s."

Early 70ies? Jack's Warwick phase no doubt. He played the real early ones.

Let's not forget that Jack didn't favor the EB-3 for long. He said so. In later years he chose an EB-1 when he could have easily gotten another EB-3.

Then there's Crobot bass guitarist Jake Figueroa, who was given a '62 EB-0 that "was actually a prototype." Maybe they could have found a bassist who knows something about the history of the model.

Yes, Jack was playing Warwick before Hans-Peter Wilfer even imagined it.

Jack tried an EB-3 again during the rehearsals for the 2005 performances, but said it was too much like playing a toy.  It's easy to see why he settled on his EB-1 instead.  There is an article somewhere in which he comments on his reasons for playing the EB-3 in the 60s.  I wish I knew where that was.

LOL.  The Jack Bruce CD finally arrived.  Hard to believe after all the Spanish Inquisition stuff they put me through.
