Even NOS getting that price is going to be a fetch, especially as it is just a rank and file reg nat Ripper, nothing special. I'd say 2.000 bucks more like for a real, real enthusiast. Rippers are robust working man basses, why anyone should be clamoring for an unused one is beyond me when there are so many used ones in good shape on the market. It's not like people will ge gaping at it open-mouthed.

  That's just nuts. About 5-6 years ago I sold a early fat horn Alder body Ripper with a tort guard for $2,500. I almost felt bad about it.
