Beautiful. But very pricey.
Rather obnoxious seller if you read the description...

He does overdo it quite a bit. It's nice but nowhere near nice enough or rare enough to justify his asking price. I doubt overhyping it is going to help him.

Might be nothing but I suspect that one of the fixing screws for one of the machines has been sheared - the G tuner is twisted out of position...

The only black one I've ever seen was a refin from a local guitar shop years ago. I have a gut feeling  about this one. The black refin EB-2 that popped up on ebay a few months ago went for much more than it would have if it was any other color.......... ??? ??? ???

I have never seen one in black.  Does anyone know if they actually made it in any color but the wood.  price is way out of line.

You'll see them in factory white (usually yellow now, due to aging lacquer), and there were pics of one floating around in silverburst.  No idea if it was a custom color or refin.

There are no confirmed records of factory black Triumphs, but they certainly could have made a few.

I wouldn't like to say whether this was factory black, or refinned... and I certainly wouldn't bid without seeing it in person. The third pic shows the neck binding - usually black and white. Looks a little bit too much black nearer the body end. But maybe it's the photo....

If that's a refin it looks to be a pretty good one and probably an old one as well. The black has the same aged look that the headstock has. My '77 Thunderbird had the same look. The black almost looks like a real dark green in the right light.

Yeah, I agree George - if it is a refin, they've kept the serial number looking good (as far as the limited pics show) and have not rounded the headstock edges when sanding - something that shouts refin immediately.
