If you push something hard enough it must fall over.

Yep. There's a even a modern version that may be in current production. They had a whole thing with terrible QC and some famous bassist had an endorsement with them and it was rumored that even HIS models were unreliable, but I can't remember who it was. I used to know, but my poor brain is fried. Someone English I think. I think the modern ones may have used eight KT88's instead of six.

That opening bid is a good price for a collector. Sadly, unless the player has lots of money, it's no longer a player's amp. I REALLY don't see the point in putting it on eBay at this time of year unless it's to gauge interest or advertizing for an off-bay sale. I've seen them priced online in vintage shops at $6000-8000 and sell pretty quick. This is one to watch.

Listed on Mark Huss' register as a '78 as well as on the sale details...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I've seen it in person. It's from a reliable great guy. It's a MONSTER. I bought a 200 watt from him a few months aho as well as a 2x15. This amp will destroy any and all Ampeg SVT. Period.

Maybe it was Oasis' bass player?
