The ones you can find on Ebay are ceramic.

About the honeyburst IV: I asked BaCH, and this morning they told me they only have the Red IV so far. But they're were busy milling the pickup cavities. So maybe they'll make  a few honeyburst IVs.

I also told them the second volume pot should not be exactly in the middle.

Let's hope they convert a few of those honeyburst IIs into IVs,  so I can make everyone happy.

I need an information to buy the pickup used in the Bachbird: I realized that it is different from that I can find listed in ebay. Where I can find the one used in the Bach? 

 Once I get mine, if you're still looking you may have it for free as I'll replace it with a Lull pickup.

Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's $358.00 USD, not including shipping of course. What a f'ng bargain ! For those who have never experienced the joy of a Non Reverse or could not afford one here is your chance. Though not totaly accurate  in construction and pickups, they capture what is great about these basses. If Gibson ever reissuied this they would ball it up but good and charge 5k. No need to spend that with Bach birds available. On another forum the question was posed what  new gear will we be clamoring for 20 years from now ? I bet these basses will be very much in demand.

 Rob are they putting veneer on the tops of the bodies again ? The sunburst looks to be mahogany while the trans cherry look like maple or birch.

I'm not sure Scott. I've only seen it in the online pics so far.
And by looking at those pics I have serious doubts if the trans red is mahogany. The grain doesn't look like it. So yes, maybe it's got that veneer again.

BaCH also says on their website the neck is mahogany. Which we discovered isn't mahogany at all in the first series...

I'll ask them again.

Rob, thank you so much for checking on that VAT issue. The difference in price between these and the first series seemed really big to me, but I figured a lot of that was VAT. It sucks that you guys have to pay it, but I guess the trade off is you don't have to pay 100 Euros to ship it!

Whatever they're using wood-wise, if this series sounds as good as the first, I'll be happy.

I specifically asked BaCH and they just replied to me (BaCH answer in blue):

1- is the neck really mahogany?
 
100% mahagony.

2- is the body 100% mahogany? Or is it sandwiched with maple veneer like the first series?
The pictures of the honeyburst look like mahogany, but the transparent red don't look like mahogany.
 
100% mahagony . Wait my detail pictures tomorrow.
