Haven't played the Bachbird since June, as I use the bass in one explicit band. In my other band I tend to use Epiphone Embassy. Then, yesterday, I stumble across this great tune from the 20's, Softly As In The Morning Sunrise, a tune that's become something of a jazz standard, but nontheless is a beautiful tune with a very nice melody, that I guess is familiar to many of us. So, Softly... moves along in the back of my brain, all day long, and continues to do so. A bass pattern is starting to grow. Fifteen minutes ago I pick up the Bachbird. Starts to play along with the bassline in my head, without any amp.
And - WOW! I had forgotten what a great bass the Bach is! So easy to play! Thin, smooth. It was really worth waiting for!
So, to everyone who participated in the project, and especially to you, Rob: Thanks for all the work you put into this great project. And, thanks again. Very, very much, this time! Gracias!

Tell him to get to one of the places it's being discussed and get his name on the list! This won't happen unless we get enough people to even say they are interested.  ;D

Exactly. If there aren't enough lefties interested enough to commit to it, then it won't be released.

I just got back from Afghanistan last week, and picked up my BaCHbird from the post office (when told of my situation they offered to hold it until I got back).  I am completely surprised at how awesome this bass it.  Endless thanks to Rob for putting this all together, and to Roman for making the thing.

Thank you for your service and welcome home!

Kind of like coming home to Christmas with the Bach waiting ;D

I've said it before, I'll take a lefty if controls and input jack are righty. Aren't there any other right-lefties out there? I'd even be prepared to foresake controls completely. A reverse non-reverse would look great.

Thanks Lightyear.  Yes, very much like a Christmas... er, like one when I was little.  Nowadays I get like sweaters and gift cards, which while useful, are not nearly as rad as the BaCHbird.

I don't know that I'm in the market for a Fenderbird, sorry Rob.  Between the BaCH, the Vinnie (pictures and remarks forthcoming, as soon as I find my camera lens), and the Tobias Growler I have on layaway (not the new set neck ones, one of the older bolt ons) I'm all bassed out for like a year, at least.  I have some car repairs and a road trip and a new computer to build... and for someone who hasn't gigged in over a year, I've been buying a lot of instruments lately.
