The saying goes that Germans love Italians, but have no respect for them, while it is the other way around with the Italians' view of the krauts.

Well the English and French dislike almost everyone, including each other, so I suppose all alliances have their issues.

Perhaps more people and nations should be interested in red wine than war. We'd all be better off!

Australia is proof of this  ;)

Nothing wrong with good Kiwi Pinot :)

I'm taking some American Friends over to the Langhorne Creek wine region tomorrow. This is the 2nd largest wine region in Australia and arguably the oldest. Its gonna be a hard day but I feel its my duty  ;)

TBirdMania1965, nah I've never been to Japan (I took one semester of Japanese language in college, but all I remember is how to ask for phone numbers).  I've been trying to get stationed at Yakota AB for some time now, but it never seems to go through for me.  I would love to live there for a while though.

It's enough to get girlfriends!
Yokota AB has a stupendous area! I wish you'll be able to come to Japan someday. ;D

Welcome, indeed!
The Edwards is a beauty! Your collection looks like what I'd see at a NC State/Carolina football game!

Hi !
Does Carolina football game mean Blue v.s Red ,right?
Sorry,I cannot understand ,because never watched the game... ???

Edwards has some nerve! Or Japanese IP laws are comfortably lenient ...  I know that in the past they have made faithful RD versions too for Toshi (?), that Dir N Grey (spelling?) bassist.

Greco,Fernandes(Burny),Ariapro,Tokai,etc,...
Japanese manufacturers had made many copies from 70's to 80's.

Yes, Dir En Grey,Toshiya.  Now, ESP makes it.

I think at this point, we need a sunburst NR! Or at least I do, anyway (still chaffing over missing that burst Epi NR a second time).

To the mojo hobo

I do!  But available colors were only White or Sunburst at the last time.

To Denis

My NR was sunburst before I refinished it .  And my friend has a White one.

Sinji,

I did get to see the other pics of your Edwards, you should share a few more with the guys here - obviously there's some interest  ;) Hopefully you got the shots of my (under reconstruction) BaCH.

Hi Mark

Your pics are great! Thanx a lot.
I'll gladly share pics with the guys, but how can I do ?
Just paste the URL of my album here?

You know, I am a sucker for those tobaccoburst NR birds.  Welcome to our dysfunctional family.  Never been to Japan.  Always wanted to see it.  My dad was stationed in Okinawa, and his home movies from there included footage of a local Shinto festival.  Cool stuff.  He also brought back the original 78 rpm recording of "Tokyo Boogie Woogie".

Sinji,

First that's a great pic of you playing that NR! Totally rocks!

Easy enough to post some pics from a Photobucket account, its free and very easy to upload from your computer - the site acts as a host for your pics, even a whole album.

Exactly, you have it right! And man, that IS a great pic of you with the NR before it was refinished. Someday I have to have one!

The burst on those original NRs is beautiful (at lest it was on mine). That Edwards looks like it was a faithful reproduction of it. That being said, I really like the custom color NRs!
