All good things come to those who wait,
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Nice in black! Can't see the chrome cover too well in the light. I suspect you'll do something about that.  ;)

So, it took some time, but now the Bird is here. Haven't had the time to take any pics yet, maybe tomorrow. P J, bass player in the same band as my son, Los Bastards, got his in the same package. He couldn't belive his eyes when he saw his Bluebird.
I opened her immediately, to change the tone control to it's proper place. The cable wasn't long enough, so I have to do it another day when there's more time.
Has anyone got any ideas about the saddle? Are you satisfied with it? Is there any way to change the pickup cover to a proper one? How? And where to get a proper? Control knobs? Suggestions?
The neck is really great! Slim! Fast! The colour, sonic blue, is so cool!
No need to change the strings. I'm used to Rotosound, 45-105, since Adam was the officer in charge, and these suits me perfect.
Any idea concerning upgrading is welcome, though it really doesn't seem like a priority matter. Thursday night I'll try it out with the band.
Feels kinda strange that we're where we are. I'm very thankful to all you guys, and possibly most to Rob, the high-flying Dutchman, who rode the show to a happy ending. Thanks, guys!

Congrats first of all Staffan.

Has anyone got any ideas about the saddle?
Perfect. Maybe the metal is a bit soft. But so far I have no complaints

Are you satisfied with it?
Yes.

Is there any way to change the pickup cover to a proper one? How?
check this thread

And where to get a proper?
Check Greatdealz at Ebay

Control knobs? Suggestions?
Check Allparts for reflector cap knobs

Any idea concerning upgrading is welcome, though it really doesn't seem like a priority matter.
The pots should be replaced anyway so why not install a push/pull volume pot to enable the single coil modus? It's quite easy to do even for a non techno like me  ;)

That will look VERY cool!  You should ask Mike about his opinion of the bass.  So far, we all seem to love it, but someone from the Czech Republic on the FDP wasn't so keen about BaCH.  His opinion was that:
1.  They were probably actually made in China (not that I care after playing mine)
2.  Their basses were beginners instruments (not that I agree in the slightest)

I'm still very impressed with this bass.  After I drop the '60s pickup in (I might check the wiring to make sure it's in line with the original specs), I'll see if I see a big difference.  My first impression is that the $30 Arctec might be the best cheap pickup around.

Staffan, I'm happy you finally were able to get through and receive your bass.

At this rate, you should be ready for another new one in 2054.  :)

Hi Gary . I have to reply You at Your sentences below:

The basses and any other BaCH instrument are not MADE IN CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can say this honestly they have never seen China  . . hahahahaha

Mr. Bach: I already recorded some songs with the BachBird. Go to www.thelalalies.nl and look for the www.4shared.com free downloadable files. Hope you like it! (I do!)
