We all appreciate Roman and the efforts on our behalf. We are not always that patient or understanding on this side of the pond. We do have a great sense of humor and enjoy a good laugh, unlike some of our foreign friends.

Thanks Roman! I'm glad to see you understand that our complaining is only because we are excited about your wonderful bass! It's great to have you here to contribute and see why we are so excited.

So there is! The first ones were white, while the later ones are either black or sonic blue, with white pickguard.

I'm not sure, but I think that white basses were also included in the second batch that were made. That's why I can't be sure about the actual number of TH-1s that are available. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that anybody who wants one will have one eventually (and sooner, rather than later).

And for the record, I really want a black one now!

I think all here appreciate all you have done in making a "Dream bass" a reality.

For some the dream can not get here soon enough!

Dream bass... I was thinking that last night after I dropped the chrome covered TB+ in there. Tis a cool beast. Breakin it in tonight at McGee's on Webster in Chicago.

I think black would look really sharp.

I coudn't find what that word ("sproing" or "sproingky") meant, but I have a hunch it has to do with ample humidity  which is always a good thing for a mahogany bass.

You betcha! I have black speed knobs on there now. Going to horrible GC this weekend. With any luck they'll have some.

So I took the B-bird out last night. Played the whole show with it. It's a hit! The neck is dreamy and it's light with that thin body. The tone with a single TB+ is great, pick or fingerstyle. Pretty one dimensional, but excellent nonetheless. Switching from fingers to pick is about the best way to alter the tone. I often solo the neck pup (on a two pup bass) and roll down the tone control for a boomier sound or vintage thump, but this bass seemed to get lost in the mix volume-wise when I tried that a couple of times. I was really comfortable with the bass. And it looks like nothing else out there. For a total of $392 US (including shipping and wire transfer fees), I'd say I'm pretty lucky.
