Thank you! Just one more thing, to stop me from walking the floor, how long time went by from where you made you decision concerning colour, until you got the invoice?

And where are you located?  Sounds like BaCH is doing these one at a time in terms of shipping.

You know, BaCH is still running neck and neck with Bruce Johnson on the Scroll bass I ordered.  Bruce tells me I'll have it sometime next month.

Believe it or not. This thread predates this very forum. It all started at the long gone Dudepit. It was already a lengthy thread when the Dudepit capsized!

It all started in september 2006. When I spotted a Mahogany BaCH '51 P copy on a dutch auction site. I went to check it out and I was surprised by the quality of this low budget Czech brand...

Big thread before DP3 capsized plus a big thread here before you had me ax it because you thought it was unwise to say too much in public at the time. I'm not sure either was was long as this one, but all in all we sure have had plenty of discussion.

@Basvarken: Bach made two packages, one package contained one blue and one white, which I collected. The other package will be collected by a friend living in northern greece.

@Stjofön Big: 1-2 days, not sure, sorry.

@gweimer: south greece, 1 hour by car from athens

@everyone interested: picks will follow later, must borrow a friends camera!

One question: what gigbag do you use to carry it around? It's kinda large to put it in a f****r gigbag.

Looks like they're still working on the "mainland".  Nothing o'er the pond yet.  Our original idea of sending to Rob and then working out distribution may have been a good one, in hindsight.  Maybe BaCH is just getting through the simple ones first.  I suspect that once the first shipment Stateside gets worked out, the rest will happen pretty quickly.

Can you describe the weight difference between the white and blue one? Also, how different do they feel considering the difference in body thickness? The invoice I received listed a white bass and I wasn't told I could choose. I'd prefer the white one, all things being equal, but I might go for blue or black if the weight and/or feel is a huge difference. Thanks!

The basses are the same, weight-wise. It would be kinda strange if lets say the blue was heavier!  ;D But the white one SEEMS bigger.

I thought everyone knew that blue is heavier.

Seriously, the second batch is supposed to be thinner than the first (white) batch, George may be referring to this. If both yours came from the seond batch, then they should be the same.

Both are 32cm thick ( that is 1" 1/4 for you, non-metric people! ) and weight about 5 kilos, if I can trust my crappy scale.
