Has anyone in the US received a reply?

Although I do think Daves' probably right, they just didn't make that many in the first Ba(t)CH!

Waiting patiently............................................

Than to feel you deep in my heart
There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to never feel the breaking apart
All my pictures of you

I think someone in the US mentioned at least getting an email response, a few pages back.

I just got an email from BaCH.  More or less, Roman said that they only built those twenty basses in the first pass - mainly to get the kinks worked out.  He said there might have been some structural issues with those; therefore, he did the sensible thing and dumped them on the European market.  Now he said they can get on with building the real basses, and he'll be in touch...

Just kidding  :).  Actually, it read more like this:

Dear Joe ,

We are very sorry for so late with our reply and TH-1 bass You ordered them before months.
If You are forefront on the list We had to send first 20 pcs to guys from Europe because of
much easy way , Christmas busy time .
I would like ask You for a patience because sending to USA is not very easy due to need to takes
each bass in Custom house .

We made only 20 first pieces last Year . Now We are working on the rest of them.
You can get it ( be sent) the end of February or March.

Pls take our deep apologies. We will try to do our best for You.

Sincerely ,
Roman

Today I got another guilt ridden email from him. He promised to send all the guys on the list an email.

By the way there is a thing I would want to improve on this bass. The pickguard isn't accurate. It will give you trouble if you try to install a second pickup.
Plus I would've left the BaCH logo off the headstock. The one on the trussrod cover is enough.

All right, I'll be patient. Don't we have someone here who can whip us up some blank trussrod covers?

Now we're cookin' with grease.  I like how this is coming together.
The new color options seem a bit odd to introduce at this stage of the game though.
I'll take a guess that it's a good-will offering for those of us who were left in the dark.
That's nice of them.  I'd prefer the white finish as well, if given the choice.

Looks like us folks across the pond will be looking at some extra costs in getting these into the country, eh?

I wonder how many total instruments they sold in 2008?

I just got the same e-mail from Roman that chromium got, and I'm not even in the top 50 of the list. Sounds like they're pulling it together.

Still wondering if anyone has tried a "real" non-rev pickguard on one of these.

Just got back from the Florida glaciers.  Email was waiting for me, too.  It's a step in the right direction.  As far as the truss rod cover, I'd think any local luthier could whip one up from the BaCH version as easy as anything else.
