Holy cow- they really are building them one at a time!  And they're running out of white paint  :o  ;D

Am I the only one that pictured Roman curled up in a fetal position under his desk as he typed that (extremely bizarre) letter?  Ah well...  ya gotta appreciate the sheer entertainment value in all of this!  haha

Thanks, Rob for taking time to look out for the rest of us.

Well, I guess we can stop fretting for a little while.  I wouldn't mind a blue one.  I just hope they actually follow through on all this.  I'm still in.  If it comes to fruition, it looks like I'll be getting the BaCHBird about the same time I get my Scroll bass.

If you get white, you have a primer coat for any other color.  So you can pick your poison color-wise, and they have done all the prep work.

Our Swedish poet, Karen Boye, wrote this somewhere, I guess it was in the 1930's: "It's not the goal, that makes the trip worthwhile. It's the journey". I guess that could be said about this affair, too. Or as the hippies put it, back in days I can hardly remember: "What a long strange trip it's been".
"A very interesting journey", I think Stjofön Big said that, must have been in January... was it -08, or -09? Well, I guess most of has got something to play with (you may NOT cite me on that one) even before the Bachbird arrives. And concerning colour, well, I always liked surprises...
Cheers!

Swedish poet, my ass!  ;) ;) ;)  If Karen Boye is supposed to have come up with "it's the journey, not the destination" (often attributed to Confucius, but more likely evolved from millenium old Tao teachings), then Pippilotta Viktualia Rullgardina Krusmynta Efraimsdotter Långstrump

is Chinese.

Ooops, maybe she is ...

BTW: Looking at the story behind this thread and the length of it, this Confucius saying is even more fitting:

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

I'm patient so I can wait for BaCH, I haven't sent them any $$$ so.............meh! I'll take whatever they send.
I find it amusing that Mike developed and got a new bass to market in less time, for that matter Gibson shipped a new bass too................. ;)

Maybe they are avoiding the US for other reasons?

Certainly that had to cross someone else's mind?

It should be said that Karen Boye eventually comitted suicide. So I guess her trip was not worth the journey. Concerning Conf***ius I guess he was a late learner. Boyes truth is probably as old as humanity...

I don't to become an Uwe look-a-like but as you all know I'm in love with his blue Nonrev. That could be the colour for my BaCH. Does anybody know the RAL code for this colour? Or another way to get it quite right? I believe there were some posts at the ole Dudepit about colour names, codes, ..

As we post, the Bush Administration in one of its last formal acts has started a military operation against the Czech Republic, that vile intellectual property thieving rogue state close to Russia. The name of the operation is "enduring trademark", General Henry J. is in charge of operations.

With Roman's latest email to Rob, I think the problem is just that they didn't make enough. No reason (at least yet) to think they're avoiding the US.

Too bad Roman just didn't come right out and say they only had 20.  :-\

Alles wird gut. They're just a bit Eastern European, ok? But they'll get to it.

You know guys, I've been pondering to trace the shape of my Eastwood Stormbird and start making Non-reverse "Blazerbirds" either with Bolt on or glued in necks.

It's close enough. Yet different enough not to be a straight copy.

If any of you is interrested in getting one of those feel free to ask.

My black "Blazerbird" is still for sale

I'm about ready to give up on Bach.
