Great job, man! The Bird looks fantastic with both covers on.
I checked my 65 P-bass, and belive the neck cover to be, as you suspected yourself, a J-cover. My advise is to wait for a T-bird neck cover to show up. That's what look best. Are there any Epiphone covers around that would fit?

Thanks!

Like I wrote: I'm looking for T-bird covers for my 76, but the ones I find are rather too expensive or not shippable to Holland.

But if you find 'm.. Please let me know!

Is this the one you should have in neck position? http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Gibson-NOS-Parts-Chrome-Thunderbird-Hand-Rests_W0QQitemZ250350207816QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar_Accessories?hash=item250350207816&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A3|39%3A1|240%3A1318
I bought one from Seattle, or somewhere, a couple of years ago, but lost it in a transaction along the way. For that one, I paid around $50.00. So I think the asking price, $60.00, is quite OK...

Listen, Doombass, listen. Tell me all there is to know about the cover. Is that piece for the neckpickup, or is it, hrrrm, for the bridge pickup? Now, take your time before you answer. Remember that there are quiet a few of us, here in the forum, who wants as exact information as possible. And, let me remind you: If you wan't talk, well... let's just say... That cover is indeed a NOS (New Old Stock) original cover meant to sit over the neck pickup of the '76-'79 Gibson Thunderbirds. I bought it for my '77 Sunburst. I don't have any recent pics of mine so I borrowed this one instead:

Congrats Macahan! I'm glad to hear there's still BaCHbirds being delivered.
Hopefully the rest of the gang will hear from BaCH soon.
