I know this has been asked a million times in many forums, but is there something I can use as a substitute for the missing baritone button switch in my 66 EB-2? I have the "box" but no switch. Any suggestions?

OK guys, I have a couple basses I'd like to buy cases for (NR TB, EB-2) and I'd consider a custom one if it doesn't cost more than the bass is worth! Any suggestions or experience here?

Hey guys, I got this from Roy at RS Guitars. He was gonna restore it but decided not to. I bought it and I'm gonna keep it natural. I've always wanted a natural EB-2! It's got ALL of the hardware except one string ferrule. Very cool............

Got a newer Epi USA Sheraton body and we'll be doing the short scal bass thing with her, but with something original for the pups, like TV Jones ThunderTrons. I've got a mahog neck for it that needs a fret board and finishing, so this will be a fun one for sure.

OK, I just didn't like the top on my 98 LP carcass. One crappy piece of realy dark mahog that didn't match the rest of the body. Typical Gibson QC. So, off comes the top finish. Next will be a flame maple affair with a cherry burst finish. Before and after............

I've got some really beautiful veneer that's going to cap this top. I'm also toying with cream binding for the top. We'll see how energetic I feel later this month. If we get our usual 100 inches of snow, I might do the binding too!

Several folks have asked for a clip of my NR rehab bass. I've never tried, so can somone tell m ehow I record my bass via computer and put it into a clip other folks can listen to? Thanks!

Gibson Basses / My first TB project

Actually, my first TB project, one I did several years ago, was a Fenderbird from parts I scarfed off eBay. This is it. Alder body, walnut top, Warmoth paddle head neck that I made into a TB style headstock. Sounded great, but was way neck heavy, so I sold it. Sorry about the pup, I thought it would be fun to experiment!

While restoring the 60s NR, I got the bright idea to start an all-maple clone (don't ask me why, I'm still wondering what I was thinking!!!). Anyway, I'll be finishing that one up this weekend. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Since Tony asked and maybe one or two of you haven't seen it, here's the finished NR. Scott helped with the pickguard and we're making a correct tailpiece for it, so it will look even better in a few weeks! This is the bass that I had to create an entirely new headstock for. The previous owner misplaced the original!
