You had your priorities straight then. Grand Funk had quite a raw energy while they were still a three-piece.

Love the Santana clip (I may have to go back and listen to that album again), and you can't go wrong with Muse (my new favorite band).
I've posted this one before, even if it was done on a keyboard.

And Rustee Allen behind the coolest Sly and the Family Stone song around.

And, finally, more evidence from Chris Squire that it may be all in the timing more than the speed.

Good stuff Gary! Love Hyperactive. I bordered on being a full fledged keyboardist in the 80s and did plenty of synth bass stuff. ;D And Parallels.... rock!

John Greaves on bass IIRC. Him or Bill McCormick... or was it Hugh Hopper? Richard Sinclair it wasn't, he was only on "Rock Bottom". Anyway, a chance to mention 4 great English bass players.:)

The bassplayer on Morrison Hotel is....? Some of you must know.
Roy Neopolitan who had chocolate, vanilla & strawberry named after him played bass on Morrison Hotel except for Roadhouse Blues & Maggie M'gill which both feature Lonnie Mack who SRV called "the baddest guitarplayer I know".
Jerry Scheff is the L.A. WOMAN bassman who played with Elvis too.
Just got L.A. WOMAN again for 7 bucks NEW at Walmart last night & cruised up & down P.C. H. blasting it til my ears hurt. Good stuff!
Other DOORS bassplayers were:
Doug Lubahn, Kerry Magness, Leroy Vinegar & Harvey Brooks--the Big Guy from Electric Flag.
Anyone know what songs these guys played on?
