Oh. $9K

Reminds me of 10cc's Graham Gouldman's Sonic J, but his is a pre-CBS dot-neck, and less greenish.

The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

Its alright I suppose, but pushing a bit deep into CBS territory to be worth £9k? That colour almost reminds me of the grey Jazz Bass the dude played in OMD in the '80s, though his had an orange pickguard. Not much blue left on that bass.

I reckon Geddy Lee's book has brought everybody out the woodwork with a Jazz in an unusual colour. Double true if you have a matching headstock. As an aesthetic it does very little for me, but people like Geddy want one in every colour. I don't think a Jazz Bass looks complete without a tugbar on the pickguard. Once you see them you can't unsee them!

Andy McCluskey is the only right-handed bass player I've seen that strings his bass backwards - low E at the bottom. Wikipedia says that's because he learned to play on a lefty bass.

Getting way too close to "Antigua"....
