With all the sadness, we need a little levity.

So true - and worldwide too! I guess it's a case of "professional shaping".

One of my best stories was when I got paged to report to my grenade at the guitar counter. I was using a practice grenade as a soldering iron holder for repairs because my real iron stands kept disappearing. I have SO many stories. We also used to use rubber bands and picks and have pick wars on slow nights. If anyone wandered if, the closest team grabbed them and drafted them into the battle. ...then there was the local rap album we played on the PA after hours. It was so bad it was good: three guys around a mic, a Casio and pound (probably more) of weed: pure East Tennessee gansta gold!

The part about the female customer was hilarious.  I saw something very similar to that not long ago IRL.  For some reason, it just never occurs to these people that they may be talking to a female musician who knows way more about music than they can even imagine.  Instead, they're all categorized as absolute beginners who need to start with a pink guitar.
