I don't know anything about them, but I know that some folks are crazy about Epi & Gibson stuff from the 60's.

I can probably help you out since I'm about an hour or so from Louisburg.
I go in for knee surgery on Thursday, so I won't be mobile for a while after that.

Could be a good deal depending on actual condition. The headstock looks like the early 60s 2+2, but the pickup on those was the black plastic cover mudbucker.

If you can pick it up but can't ship it because of your operation, I could help ship it to Iome since I'm in Raleigh as well.

OK, sounds like a plan, Denis.  I don't know if Iome has heard back from the seller or not about shipping to Italy.

Also interesting about the pickup not looking like the original - I really won't know one way or another if I go to pick it up.
Either way, I'll wait until I hear back from Iome to see if he wants me to go get it for him.

He may not think you are serious since you're not local. Maybe Ack or I should contact him?

Okay, I shot him an email asking if he still has it.

I shot him one last night before I went to bed - he said he still has it.
I also asked him if there was ever a black pickup cover for it.  He replied that doesn't remember any black cover for it.
He did mention that he still has a small white pickguard for it that is a bit curled up.

If the seller can meet me today, I can go to Louisburg and pick it up.

guys thanks a lot but my wife has just seen what i was doing, "you don't need another bass, we're saving money for a new car and bla bla bla...". I don't agree, you always need another bass, but since i've just finished fixing the cooling system on her Ford Ka (and i'm not a mechanic) i'm afraid she's right...
I'm sorry i've wasted your time lads, hope to return the favor as soon as possible.
