The question is what basses to put them in ? My black '76 could use a pickup in the bridge position, or maybe pull the model G and put both in '76. I would really like to put one in one of my Bachs. What to do what to do?

Well the black '76 came with two pickups routes, it's not like they made  a II those years  Right now the black '76 has a empty cover in the bridge position, it kinda kills me to put a SD custom shop in the bridge but it is driving me nuts knowing there is no pickup under the cover  :o

Sound's like a '76...

Shame to break up a pair...

The Model G won't go to waste if it slots into your single pup Bach...?

Is it me or did the earth just spin off of it's axis? ;D

Ken, old boy, perhaps you should visit your physician or at very least lie down for a bit :P

I finally yanked the model G out of my EB3L, Scott. I'll send it out this week. You can put that in your '76 if you like.

I have a plan  ;D The Butcherbird has a SD Tbird pup by the bridge, a bit weaker than the ones I have had wound, that pup will go in the bridge position of the black '76 along with one of the new pups for the neck position. The '76 does deserve a set of matched pups (thanks again Kenny for that bit of clarity) The other incoming pickup will go in to the trans cherry Bach. For the bridge position of the Butcherbird I may just put a empty cover or install  model G under a '76 cover. I think.......................

This sounds like a good plan.  I love those SD pups I had made and two of them together is outstanding!

The black '76 now has two fully functioning pickups  :) The trans cherry back has a nice shinny repro pup to. The Buthcherbird has the Model G under the hood in the neck position and a empty cover by the bridge and I like it just like that. ;D
