I like her... just because it's one of a kind... no follow up's or mod's, just this one and that's special to me. Also the fact that there aren't to many around... Hey, that I'd like to know: how many were made in production?

Very recently I could add to my collection, a bass which was on my wishlist a long time. I knew the Scroll guitar series from Epiphone (Prince played one) and knew that they made just ONE bass within it: The Double Scroll. It took me about a half year to find it somewere in the world. Finaly succeeded in Texas. The axe is from 1976, in superb condition and original.
It's got two splitcoil humbuckers and a toil cap switch.

They are so rarely seen, I was wandering if someone could come up with some more information. There's very little on the internet.

I think I know what you mean... had the same feeling with F's after '75... Since I once heard and tried the pré '75 basses, I knew the difference in Fenders ... you should try it.

Gibson's are for studio recording. To me, it is NO life rocker! (Aaajjh... stepping on toes...?)

There's a lot to say and talk about the brands... In fact, these forums run on that fuell...
However, the proof of the pudding is eating it. I own (and owned) several different brands. Sometimes my heart went over to Gibson for a while (Triumph, no EB3), hardly to Rick. But mostly to Fender. Those are rockers. My J' 72 is the nicest thing I ever, ever played. It's like a dream, light and fast, always in balance. My Friend. Not tiny on the D and G. It suits me and my band the most.

That's my believe... I believe...

The Bass Zone / Pre-amp-pedal use in the loop...

I was wondering if I would do any harm to my amp, if I connect a pre-amp (tri-logic from Xotic) in the loop, between the pre-amp-out and the power-amp-in. it's an Ampeg V4-BH.

I'm alway's searching for sounds, and this came to my mind. So would it do any harm in try'n?

A while back I was drivin'n my car, and on the radio came a song of the sixties. I wass stunded about the active bass line and compression from the sound; this is a WAW!
Altough I knew this song since I was a kid (it even was a Dutch band), it never came to me like it did now. You probably now it too!

The best thing to me is the Xotic Bass BB pre-amp. This thing boosts and drive's like hell... and it's got perfect eq.

I was wondering... i'm a big fan of low bass sounds.
Would I do any harm to my 4-string basses ('70 one's) when I use the 4 lower strings from a 5-set, put them on and tune them into B-E-A-D?
Doing so, I think I might be able to catch the lowest of the lowest in my bluesrock sound.

Someone an opinion?

Hi ilan, completely original, including case.

But the dull sound was my biggest drawback at first... Then I bypassed the capacitor, since I learned that on a forum; I got a new sound back!! Ever since then, the sound has become great. I'm doing some homerecording at the moment and I'm working on a stereo jack to two cinch connectors, for recording in stereo. Then put the two signals a bit out of pan... see how it sounds!!
