Fell for another Jazz bass

I stopped in just for a few minutes to chat with my favorite sales guy about my long awaited Hofner Club.  He was on the phone so I wandered around the shop and made the mistake of picking up one of those new road worn Fiesta Red Jazz basses.  I've never been all that fond of reliced basses, but this one looked really cool and played sooooo nice.  Well, you know the rest of the story.  I put a deposit down and will pick it up after I sell a few odds and ends.  Pics when I get it.   I am so weak!

Try as I might, I can't resist those jazz basses.  I played a select jazz too and while it's beautiful, I really dug the road worn much more.  Heck, if I drop it on the ground, who'd notice?  Or care?  I think it's gonna be fun to own one of these and add a few of my own relic marks.

I'm really finding the jazz and TB are the best for the old R&R junk we like to play.

It's true!  Some likes 'em, and some doesn't, but they are indeed great basses.

Oh, you are too much!  You know how hard it is for me to buy something in such condition!    But I will try to restrain myself.

Remember, if you put some real road wear on it, the bass could explode from internal conflict.

This has alway been my dilema
I'm sure there is some "expert" who can determine factory wear vs. human wear and make a determination of price , and I'm certain he would charge a very reasonable fee for his expertise .

You guys only have half of the equation.  If X is the amount the bass is beaten up, and Y is years, then you need to account for beating it up AND adding 40 years of age...with Z being the amount a sucker will pay for it.

(X+) + (Y+) =  (Z+)

And no, I didn't major in math or its notation.  So the above is probably completely mathematically incorrect.
