I'm beginning to feel uncomfortable with all those deaths of people you somehow thought would stick around forever.

Not an obvious choice, but I always liked this here and the album (Sheffield Steel) it was on.

An astounding voice... silenced... rip...
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Heard on NBC evening news that cause of death was lung cancer. Definitely not a pleasant way to go.

For some time he has lived in the Colorado Rockies, and from reports I heard, was well settled into the community and well liked. R.I.P. to a unique talent.

He had been making himself rare as a recording artist and regular gigger in recent years and I sensed that something was not well. It wasn't like the demand wasn't there anymore, he still could fill any hall in Germany anytime.

I caught his act several times and he never ceased to amaze. His early days with the Grease Band were outstanding.
What a voice!
RIP Joe.
