Now that Tux looks to be in much nicer shape than the Blackstar. It may get the starting bid, but I'll be surprised if it goes over $2500.

A one-off: Tobacco-burst 1999 with black trim - I like it!

Wow.

They call it a Model 1999 but it differs from a 1999RM in several points other than the black trim and one-off paint job. Like the 7-bolt non-notched tailpiece, the smaller, shorter pickguard with late 70's knobs layout, or the smaller treble pickup surround. But awesome nonetheless.

This one's price will go through the roof, I'm sure.

Just saw that 1999. NICELY done in every detail! Except it needs vintage knobs.  ;D

Ilan: Someone at the RickResource forum suggested that they may be using up black trim & hardware - this makes sense to me, since my '04 4003 JGBT (made after they discontinued black trim) from Japan also has a black 7-screw tailpiece. But I'm not sure what non-notched means - can you tell me if mine is?

The notch in the middle "rib" over the mute compartment in vintage and reissue Rics. The v63 and C64 had correct nothced tailpieces.

Maybe they just meant they used a 1999 reissue (which they recently put on the market for Japan only) body.

OK, I get it - I was a little confused. The idea that they're using up leftover parts, like the 7-piece tailpieces, rings true to me.
