*I'm the kid in the back of the class who wasn't paying attention - I should know this!  Gibson EB-3?   ???

I love so many things here:

* The Ampeg Rig
* The Gibson Tone
* The Minimalist Vibe
* The Records on the shelves (man, I miss vinyl!)
* The jar of foam ear plugs on top of the SVT
* The surfy-nasal keyboard tone
* The Bay Area Ambience (yeah, its an L.A. Radio station, but there's something about this band that makes me want to roadtrip to San Francisco right now).
* The Guitarist's pedals.  And his beard.
* The feeling I'm back in a garage band.

Whew - anyway, lots of vids from this particular in-studio radio gig.

OK....back to earth now.  :o

Looks like a 67ish EB-2 with a Model 1 pickup. Might be Sparkling Burgandy, can't tell for sure................... 8)

Probably a college radio station from the frequency and looks of the studio. Pretty cool.

I like it a lot. I love that he lugged his entire SVT rig to a session in a tiny studio.

EB-2!  Thanks Grog.

Yeah, an SVT rig while the drummer has no toms.   Wooden Shjips - I really want to see this band live.

Hey Dave, how ya been?

This video shows the Dimarzio Model One clearly at about 30 seconds in.

Love bands like that! That fat sound in the bottom, the ringing of the cymbal, outer-space-keyboard, glittering guitar surfing on top of it all, plus vocals that you hardly hear, vocals that just becomes part of the overall... ::sound::! Just love it!

Very 60s .......... but the keyboardist should definitely toss his modern keys for an old Vox or Farfisa organ, preferably one with reversed color keys ......

Dave!  How you are?  I'm good....life gets crazy sometimes...
 Thanks for that vid - I like the quality on all these from that same session.  Crazy college kids always pushing the envelope - multiple cameras help a lot too.

I guess he uses the vintage boards like Farsisa's in the studio.  Apparently a lot can go wrong with vintage keyboards traveling on the road.   Yeah, I didn't like that "extra" nasal quality here either.  But enough of the real deal was bubbling beneath the surface I guess.

Great band, I saw them live a few months ago. Awesome video, too! My band was just in studio on KXLU two weeks ago to promote our appearance at FMLYFEST, but they didn't video tape it. Ah well, awesome station nonetheless.
