biggest has never meant good, just big. :rolleyes:

WALLMART is about as big as it gets but I'm no fan...
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

ZEPPELIN = KINGS of HARD ROCK
METALLICA = KINGS of METAL

Hence the statement made by many not so critical critics that "Metallica is the New Zep"....who ain't fuddyduddys like most of you fuggers. lol

People who criticize these 2 great bands generally have very little or nothing to contribute to the music world themselves.

Cliff Burton gives 2 boney fingers to all of the detractors of him & his AWESOME band!!

Terr has a way of bringing a discussion back on track, LOL.

I felt your discussion of Hendrix was done with great aplomb, something actually rare.  I know that has little or nothing to do with Metallica and Led Zeppelin.  Just pointing it out.

Although it may sound obvious, if I could only say one thing about Led Zeppelin and Metallica, I'd say it's regrettable both bands had to face tragedy the way they did.  Bonham's death literally destroyed Led Zeppelin.  Despite the fact that they've continued for years without Cliff Burton, Metallica was irrevocably scarred by his death in many ways which cannot even begin to be measured.

Really? What Metallica albums do you own? When did you buy them? What's your favorite Metallica song? How many times you have seen them live? Since you're such an expert on Cliff, what kind of amp did he use? For that matter, what amp company did Metallica singlehandedly bring to prominence?

You're the kind of 'fan' that made it very easy for me to walk away from them. You know next to nothing about them or their music, yet you consider yourself an expert about the band and your views unassailable. You may like the party-rock band that got famous on MTV and warmed the hearts of empty-headed frat boys and poser music critics everywhere. Me: I loved the leather and jean clad bunch of pissed-off metalheads who were just like me on and offstage, outcast and angry.  Since I no longer relate to them or their music, and I consider their very conscious decision to water down their music and go mainstream an insult, I strongly dislike them now and could care less what your opinion of my contribution to the musical world constitutes. I'm not real keen on you either.
