My one cat Smokey has a string licking fetish.

It's the rounds.  I think cats like the feeling on their tongue.  When I was young, we had a cat that had a favorite Christmas ornament.  He licked one spot clean of the silver finish.

My girlfriend's cat, Satan, likes licking the lampshade on the table next to my side of the bed.

Stop smearing it with fish-paste...

Isn't that what Jaco did? Oh yeah, that was fried-chicken grease, might have the same effect...

Our new Siamese mix is quite the turd - she wants to play all of the time and if you don play with her she is royally pissed.  When the wife is in bed reading and the cat is not the center of the universe she simply walks over to lamp, sits beside it, and reaches up with both paws and pulls the chain turning off the lamp.  Talented, but still a turd nonetheless ;D  We usually get a woken up by her licking one of our noses :P

You all make me miss my cats. I had two but my wife is allergic to cat hair so now we don't have cats.

What about one of those hairless cats?  They are so damn ugly they're almost cute and they are are hypoallergenic.

Nah, I like cats with hair. I had a Russian Blue that was the smartest cat on the planet.

Do you know if she's allergic to their dander or to their saliva? Apparently there are a couple of things that people can be allergic to. Maybe if you found the right cat?...

She suffered for 6 years until my last cat had died. I'm not going to put her through another one. The neighbors' cats play in our yard, that's as close as I'm going to be to owning a cat.
